DENVER – Each spring, Swallow Hill Music shows its continued commitment to youth music education in the Denver music community. Its 4th annual Young Songwriters Competition seeks young and burgeoning talent to submit his or her best singer/songwriter material. Open to middle & high school students, these talented kiddos compete for scholarships, gift certificates and a recording studio session.

This competition has more than doubled in size from its inception, drawing young artists from around the Denver Metro area. This event is a great opportunity for young talent to perform on a professional stage in front of a live audience. Past winners include Emma Henry, who went on to compete on American Idol, and Patrick Dethlefs, who is celebrating his first album release this summer.

Submissions for this year’s competition are due March 14. Finalists will be chosen to perform in a live, competitive show on April 20, open to the public.
