DALLAS (July 24, 2013) AXS TV is set to broadcast a special, live concert with pop/rock band Plain White T’s. The live event, airing exclusively on August 6, takes place at 11:45 p.m. ET at the Summit Music Hall in Denver, Colorado.
In preparation for the live concert event, AXS TV is spending some quality time on the road with the boys from Chicago, being granted unprecedented access to the band for three stops on their current tour. These scenes, a kind of “tour journal”, will unfold daily as part of the network’s “Random AXS” feature and are posted now on a special Tumblr blog:
Plain White T’s are currently on tour supporting their new EP featuring the title track and first single, “Should’ve Gone To Bed.” Over the course of the past few years, Plain White T’s have sold over 10 million tracks, garnered two Grammy nominations and wrote and recorded three number one hits: “Hey There Delilah,” “1, 2, 3, 4” and “Rhythm of Love.”
The Plain White T’s are lead vocalist/guitarist Tom Higgenson, rhythm guitarist Dave Tirio, lead guitarist Tim Lopez, drummer De’Mar Hamilton, and bassist Mike Retondo. The band is currently working on a full-length follow-up to Wonders of the Younger.
