Brell, “you got to feel em!” As we embark into the first Brell mix tape hosted by DJ Commish, we come across a witty and lyrical artist, from Park Hill, Denver. Who knew an artist could spit so sick on tracks likes this? The artistry of the Brell & DJ Commish mix tape breaks the stereotype of the norms for the Colorado music scene. The “Sleeping Beast” has been awakened, and he is attacking all beats with an unseen fearlessness to say whatever comes to thought. Yes, he’s speaking his mind with every rhyme, while challenging the Colorado Music scene hierarchy with every bar he delivers. Brell’s “Old Habits” takes you through the growth of becoming a man, as he showcases his rare flow and talent, “B dot You Feel dot,” the metaphor for his name speaks volumes for his music. “iStack” paints a street-gritty life with Brell’s art of story telling. The events he has lived through, seen, and experienced show both a creative side to his music, and seriousness about the events that made Brell the artist he is today Being the “Street Analyzer” is a poetic tail of the life lived growing up in Park Hill, from seeing the gang life first hand, to crooked police patrolling the neighborhood, and drug fiends at the Holly Center. But to still picture a better life a chase the dream of Hip-Hop artist is what makes Brell one of Colorado’s up and coming artist.
