Chic Buds, a company out ofIrvine CA, is producing some pretty cool products for us musicians and music fans. I received a pair of ARTS inner buds from the company and was first off impressed with the cool design. Most earbuds are pretty straight forward, but these had a flair that I was not embarrassed to be caught in. One of the great features was the no-mess flat cords. Basically impossible to tangle and longer than your average cord as well so you could have your i-pod virtually in a back pack or on some low-riders and still be connected.

Audio wise, the buds really shine. The 7mm driver does a really miraculous job on reproducing tones accurately and with deep resonance. I tested some Weezer, Run DMC and Pitbull and was pleased with the clarity and depth these buds delivered.

The buds also came with 3 gel tip sizes so you can be assured a good fit. The standard 3.5mm stereo tip was reinforced as well as many of my previous buds ending up in the trash simply because the connective point was poorly designed.

Chic Buds does have an extensive line-up of products – something for everyone … and don’t be fooled by the company name – there are some very cool products for the guys as well. I plan on ordering another pair and one for my man as well.

For the money ($29.95 for the ones I tested), they are a great investment for the music lover who spends hours a day listening to music and wants a dedicated set of buds that will last.
