Mark your calendar for May 13th, as Drake will be making a stop in the Mile High City for his Club Paradise Tour.  Drake describes the tour as more of a “festival” type feel. “It’s outdoors, it’s summertime. If you’re coming to see the Club Paradise tour, it should be a day. You go, you eat lunch; you make sure you’re well fed. You start drinking early and you start having fun early and you come see your favorite acts. We’ll go all the way from 6PM to 11PM together”, he says during a conference call scheduled to promote the upcoming tour.

Before Drake emerged onto the music scene, he was an actor on the television series Degrassi: The Next Generation.  The Canadian recording artist was picked up by Young Money Entertainment after a surprise phone call from Lil Wayne saying he liked what he heard.  Since then, it is hard to listen to the radio and not hear Drakes delicate balance between rapping and singing.

What started out as a college run, the Club Paradise Tour also made several stops across Europe.  Just 12 days after his final U.K performance, Drake will kick off the U.S. leg of the tour in Concord, California.  Drake suggests a possibility that some of the last performances on the tour will be more of a collaboration show. “Maybe we do all our songs onstage together” he says.  The upcoming tour features up and coming artists J. Cole, 2 Chainz, French Montana, Waka Flocka Flame, and Meek Mill. “Stay Schemin” is a track featuring Drake and French Montana, as well as fellow Young Money artist Rick Ross.  Drake also is featured on J. Cole’s song “In The Morning”.  Perhaps those in attendance will be part of the excitement of such live collaboration performances.

Drake might come out on stage “Too strung out on confidence, overdosed on compliments”, and surely put on a performance that fans across Colorado will not want to miss.
