Driftin’ Suns Successful Kickstarter Launch Prompts Local Buzz
Denver band raises $8,205 before deadline with RISE TO UNITE: Seasons EP Crowd Funding Project
DENVER – Locally owned musical performance company THE DRIFTIN’ SUNS, LLC announced the successful funding of their RISE TO UNITE Kickstarter Crowd Funding project launched on April 9, 2014. The 30 day campaign to raise $8,000 was successfully funded on the 28th day, with the help of 61 project backers. The campaign went on to be overfunded by $205 which the band will use for promoting the new release.
SEASONS – SPRING is a collaborative effort with Joel Rekiel of BLDG BLKS Music Company’s Career Catapult program which creates a recording package that gives artists the tools they need to create sustainable careers in the entertainment industry. Ultimately teaming up with Glenn Sawyer and Rich Veltrop, producers at THE SPOT STUDIOS, a Colorado destination recording studio delivering world class music production in Lakewood, Colo., The Driftin’ Suns SEASONS will feature sixteen original songs delivered by season with the first EP,SPRING, scheduled for a July 2014 release.
The Driftin’ Suns are also currently participating in CREATE MSU Denver’s virtual business incubator for the Arts at Metropolitan State University of Denver.
