Flobots.org’s Bowling Ball 4 – Not your mama’s annual fundraiser!
It’s a rare and special occasion to find Colorado’s most sought-after musicians including OneRepublic’s two-time Grammy winner Ryan Tedder, Flobots, DeVotchka, Churchill, The Fray and many others together in the same room. But at Flobots.org’s annual Bowling Ball, that rarity is now an annual tradition
Now in its fourth year, Flobots.org’s Bowling Ball 4 and Bar Olympics, held Saturday, November 24th at 5:30pm at Punch Bowl Social Food & Drink, is becoming a household name. Lovingly referred to as “Not Your Mama’s Annual Fundraiser,” the event brings together national musicians, local rising-stars, and VIP and general admission ticket holders for an evening where a good time for party-goers amounts to a sizable contribution to Flobots.org’s music programs for at-risk and underserved youth in Colorado. To date, the event has raised $75,000.00 – with the goal this year to raise $50,000.00 – the most money earned at a single event in Flobots.org‘s five-year history.
White table cloths and wedge salads are replaced with bowling lanes and bar Olympic teams at the event – and the musical line-up is like nothing else you’ll find in the city. Governor Hickenlooper will join for his second year as the keynote speaker and bowling superstar. Bop Skizzum will lead the performances, with some help from The Epilogues, Wheelchair Sports Camp, Jonny 5 and Brer Rabbit of Flobots, members of DeVotchka, Molina Speaks, DJ Ripm and special guests. You never know who will end up on stage with a room full of Colorado’s finest!
GA and VIP ticketholders will be treated to food and drinks, live and silent auction items and a cache of who’s who of Denver celebs.
