Fort Collins, CO, April 1, 2014:

On April 1, 2014, the Fort Collins Chamber Music Society launched their online fundraiser called; Foco440: Beer, Bikes, and Bach through Community Funded, a local Fort Collins crowd funding organization. Visit their crowd funding project at http://communityfunded.com/projects/liztellinghotmail-com/foco440-beer-bikes-and-bach/ . Fort Collins Chamber Music Society (FCCMS) is an exciting, new, nonprofit organization comprised of classically-trained professional musicians. They are dedicated to achieving two goals: enriching the Fort Collins community by presenting upbeat, high quality, and accessible classical music in nontraditional settings and also to foster collaborations with local businesses such as breweries, cafes, bars, museums, hospitals as well as with other local arts organizations. Liz Telling, president of the organization says, “We figured if we took classical chamber music into local places and present it in a casual and fun way without charging people, they would have an opportunity to be exposed to it, learn something about it and maybe even like it as much as we do.”

The fundraiser runs through the month of April. Their goal is to raise $7000 to help grow the organization by using the funds raised to help pay for: basic operating costs, the musicians that play at local Fort Collins venues, sheet music and commissioned works, and also to match their newly awarded 2014 Fort Fund Grant.

The Fort Collins Chamber Music Society performed at Everyday Joe’s Coffeehouse on April 1, 2014 starting at 7:00 to help kick the campaign off.
