Musicians! The Spot Studios Grand Opening in Lakewood is June 9!
The Spot Studios officially opened for business on June 1. Filling the void left by legendary Colorado destination studio Caribou Ranch, The Spot is built into a 7800 sq ft sprawling country manor. On June 9, The Spot will host an open house featuring tours, demonstrations, food and rinks, and a raffle with the chance to win a fully produced track.
Offering world-class music production for the modern musician, The Spot Studios showcases the production talents of producers/engineers Rich Veltrop and Glenn Sawyer. Veltrop and Sawyer recently moved from Northern CA, where they were teamed up with super producer Sylvia Massy at RadioStart Studios (now Loud Palace). The two men have a combined 25 years of experience between them and are both lifelong musicians.
The Spot Studio offers a variety of unique acoustic spaces in addition to ample accommodations. “The Cathedral” is the primary live room, featuring stone floors and vaulted ceilings, making it the perfect room for “huge drums” in the spirit of the late John Bonham. “The Wood Room” offers a much warmer, tighter drum sound.
In addition to having fantastic acoustic spaces, The Spot also offers accommodations for any band. The master suite, “The Dojo,” is now an artists apartment, complete with a bathroom overlooking a private zen garden, a sun porch with an oxygen bar, a foosball table, and plenty of sleeping arrangements. Artists who book the studio will have access to these accommodations free of charge, allowing them to fully immerse themselves in the process.
The grand opening on June 9 is open to public and attendees will meet the staff, tour the studio, enjoy refreshments, and see demonstrations of the production process. The event will go from 2pm until 8pm. For more information about the open house, please visit www.facebook.com/thespotstudios
