Red Carpet Festival Hits Climax Lounge May 4-6

On May 4th, 5th, and 6th 2012, two Denver area bands, Lex Luena and Make Out Dreams, will host a sold-out three-day festival for the Cinco de Mayo holiday weekend.

The event will transform the New Climax Lounge from a cozy, retro-styled club into an upscale red carpet venue, befitting Hollywood Boulevard or Beverly Hills, California.

Guests will arrive to a real red carpet with Sky Tracker lights and a crowd of paparazzi taking official pictures. A DJ, fire performers, and live bands will entertain an outside crowd of up to 300-ticketed guests.

With an heir of exclusivity, guests will be invited to walk the red carpet and enter the venue. Once inside, guests will be treated to headlining DJs and performers. Alcoholic beverages and food will be available inside. Special giveaways and activities will also be offered. A dance floor, lighted by a large disco ball will give the inside a retro, fancy feel.

Promoter Roxy Lee answers a few questions about the event below.

Q: Is the event sold out? If not, how can I get tickets?

A: No, The event is not sold out. Pre-sale tickets are $10 for the entire three-day event, and VIP tickets are also available. For tickets, you can email [email protected]. We will also be hosting a photo shoot at The New Climax Lounge, Inc (2217 Welton Street, Denver, CO 80205) this Sunday, April 22nd. Some of the bands and hosts will be available for meet and greets, and we will sell pre-sale tickets from 11:00am to 3:00pm that day.

Q: As far as the paparazzi goes, how does that work? Who are they?

A: We are gathering a combination of students and local photographers/videographers to act as our paparazzi. There will be 1-2 official photographers on site who will post all of their pictures online. Guests (age 21 and up) will be invited to pose for an official photograph in front of the red carpet banner. Then, inside official videographers from milehighunderground.com and Callywood Productions will be on hand to interview guests for live streaming.

Q: Where can I park for the event?

A: We will have a limited number of parking spaced available in the lot adjacent to The New Climax Lounge, Inc. These spaces will be sold for $10 each day. There is also great street parking in the area, and there are several other paid lots in walking distance.

Q: Do I need to dress up?

A: Yes, we encourage our guests to dress up, be creative, and be eccentric! This is your chance to express your unique style and dress like a rockstar for the weekend. Please be festive for the Cinco de Mayo Holiday.
