Saturday, May 31, 2014, Partners, a successful 46 year old youth mentoring program and gang
intervention/prevention, will host its Rock For Youth Concert for at-risk children in our community. It’s always a fun-filled evening with great bands and lively interaction among guests. The venue, Marquis Theater on Larimer Street, is ideal for a Saturday night out.
Metro Denver & Douglas County Partners, and GRASP (Gang Rescue and Support Project) empower at-risk youth through one-on-one mentoring and gang-intervention/prevention. We support positive role-modeling and relationship development, which strengthens youth, their families, and entire communities.
Performers:
- There’s nothing conventional about Rachel & The Kings, and the dynamo-style start the band boasts is no exception, winning the Ford’s national “Gimme the Gig II” competition while earning huge accolades from legendary producer (and head judge) Don Was.
- Amanda Hawkins is the latest rising star to emerge from Denver, and after more than a decade of gigs and recording sessions, she’s stepping out on the national stage with her first single, “Get Back in Line.”
- Medic is four young men who are creating fantastic music together. Their first five songs are phenomenal, each with an exceptionally well developed sound.
