San Diego-Based Buttons Announces New EP Available This Summer
For fans of Never Shout Never, Dashboard Confessional, and Secondhand Serenade, San Diego based acoustic artist Buttons announced this week the release of a new EP, ‘War Stories’ to be available this summer on the 2014 Vans Warped Tour. In addition, Buttons will be preforming on every California date of the tour (6/20-6/25) in the Acoustic Basement.
‘War Stories’ is an album written from singer-songwriter Hutton Baird’s heart. The album revolves around the story of his recovery and experience overcoming alcoholism. The album is for anyone who’s ever struggled in his or her life, but survived. It tells the story of triumph over addiction. What makes ‘War Stories’ stand out among countless other indie records is it’s honesty.
Although early in his musical career, Buttons is rising fast with support from other notable artists such as Quinn Allman of THE USED and founder of Vans Warped Tour, Kevin Lyman.
Until the end of the Vans Warped Tour on August 3rd, the album will be available exclusively at every show. After August 3rd, ‘War Stories’ will be available for purchase on iTunes along with the two previous EPs, ‘Little Dark, Little Grey’ and ‘Bent and Broken’.
