Shatterproof- “Cookie Cutter Life”
Shatterproof just dropped the video for their song “Cookie Cutter Life” and are pushing it out to the masses to close out 2014. CMB caught up with the guys to get the word on the video and what they have in store for 2015.
CMB: Tell us about the process of making the video.
S: We filmed this music video with our friend Hudson Bloom. He has done all of our music videos. Everyone in the process was under 22 years old. All but 2 were under 21 years old. This includes our makeup artist, director, special effects guru, and the whole band. It was a few months of planning, and about 2 days of filming and a week of editing. Always a blast doing stuff like this.
CMB: What are your Winter plans?
S: We are actually taking a couple of months off to write and work on our game plan and business plan for 2015. We have a battle of the bands on November 20, and the Spokesbuzz cd release show on December 13. We applied for hometown for the holidays as well, hopefully we make it in to that! Past that, we are playing South by South West in March and planning a couple little tours in 2015.
CMB: What is your place in the Denver music scene?
S: We are definitely growing in the Denver music scene! We played the Vans Warped Tour in Denver this past summer. That is one of the biggest US festivals for our genre of music. We had some really good traction. We have also played the Underground Music Showcase and the Higher Ground Music Festival. We are still not where we want to be, but we are closer than we’ve ever been!
