Silent Bear- The Green Lion

The new record from Silent Bear, entitled The Green Lion, is an ode to just about everything Boulder. Mellow, intrinsic lyrics. Bluesy, jam-influenced guitar riffs. Harmonica. Even the occasional horn line and hand drum. Definitely an eclectic mix of original music. The music is raw and honest. The songs speak of life stories, as if the group is telling a story directly to you.
At times a bit slow, the album remains a solid representation of solid musicianship and Colorado mountain culture.
