Sugar Organ-Starving Artist-CD Review

Sugar Organ was formed by two music addicts with a never-ending love for writing music in 2011. The song “On the Mic” gives you an East Coast throw back feel, similar to Pharoahe Monch type sound. The 2 MCs met back in 2004 at a battle of the bands. Timmy Flips was rapping, and Tittle T playing guitar for a rock act. A friendship was formed between these two creative musicians and the rest is history. The dynamic duo expresses their journey through the music game in “Dreams and Reality” which has a crisp Organ sound mixed with a sweet lyrical vibe that gives you a sound that fits in with the Colorado Hip-Hop scene. Sugar Organ’s lyrical content is insightful and personal (check out “Gets You High”). That’s the only way they know how to do it. Using hip-hop as a platform to vent life’s ups and downs. Therapeutic music, if that is what you are into. Check out the Starving Artist CD release party at Herman’s Hideaway Dec. 22.
