Make-A-Wish Colorado and Colorado Symphony Welcome 14-Year-Old Violist to Orchestra
WHAT: Gianella is a 14-year-old from Denver, CO who has acute lymphoblastic leukemia. For her wish from Make-A-Wish Colorado, she’s wished to have a viola and play with the Colorado Symphony. Gianella has been playing the viola since she was in the 6th grade and originally chose the viola out of all instruments because of its rich sound. She aspires to be a professional musician when she grows up and her “wildest dream is to play in the Colorado Symphony.”
Her wish is coming true this Friday, Jan. 30 where she will be presented with her viola and will attend rehearsals with the Colorado Symphony from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Gianella will then perform with the Colorado Symphony during the evening show of CIRQUE MUSICA starting at 7:30 p.m.
WHEN: Friday, Jan. 30, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. – viola presentation and rehearsals for CIRQUE MUSICA
Media: Please arrive at 9:30 a.m. to capture the on-stage viola presentation at 9:50 a.m. and then stay for the first fifteen minutes of the rehearsal itself to shoot b-roll, brief interviews, etc.
